  • A Master Exercise Practitioner (MEP) is a highly experienced professional responsible for designing, facilitating, and evaluating large-scale, complex exercises aimed at testing the preparedness of organizations or communities in emergency or disaster response scenarios. MEPs work closely with stakeholders to ensure that the exercises simulate real-world challenges, provide valuable training experiences, test the efficacy of plans, policies, and procedures, as well as identify strengths and areas for improvement related to all aspects of the Emergency Management program MEPs often lead teams in the design, development, coordination, and logistics, and facilitation of comprehensive exercise scenarios. The work that MEPs lead is culminated through the management of a thorough After-Action Review process. . The role is critical in ensuring that organizations are ready to effectively respond to emergencies and crises.

  • An Infection Preventionist (IP) is a healthcare professional responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring infection prevention and control programs within healthcare settings. Their primary goal is to reduce the risk of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) by identifying potential infection risks, educating staff on best practices, and ensuring compliance with infection control protocols. IPs conduct surveillance to track infection trends, provide guidance on cleaning and sterilization procedures, and collaborate with clinical teams to develop strategies for preventing the spread of infectious diseases. They also stay updated on the latest public health guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. A Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is required.

  • A Law Enforcement Subject Matter Expert (SME) is a professional with specialized knowledge and expertise in law enforcement practices, policies, and procedures. They provide guidance and advice on law enforcement operations, tactics, and strategies to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of agencies or projects. This includes comprehensive physical infrastructure assessments and recommendation to identify and address potential security vulnerabilities.

  • A HazMat (Hazardous Materials) Technician is a professional responsible for responding to and managing hazardous materials incidents, ensuring the safety of people, property, and the environment. They are trained to assess hazardous situations, identify materials involved, and implement containment, cleanup, and decontamination procedures. HazMat Technicians wear protective gear, use specialized equipment, and follow safety protocols to safely manage spills, leaks, or accidents involving hazardous substances, such as chemicals, toxins, or flammable materials. They also document incidents, conduct safety training, and may work alongside other emergency responders to mitigate risks and protect public health.

  • The Administrative Assistant with IMS provides administrative support to the entire operation and reports to the Executive Assistant. Their main function is to ensure the smooth and efficient daily operations in the office. Typical work includes answering incoming phone calls, computer entry, scheduling, record-keeping/documentation, and telephone and electronic communications to serve our clients with “excellence in emergency management™.” Strong Microsoft Office and data entry skills are required.
